Dewey Beach Struggles with North Beach Incidents

webpage

A Rehoboth North Beach nightclub has been hit with another incident.

This time a bar tender has been charged with violating the Last Call law in Dewey Beach.

WBOC reports that this is just one in a series of incidents involving law enforcement located on Rehoboth Bay.

On Coastal Highway a fight broke out in the parking lot and the sidewalks last June 16th.

That followed another fight that broke out on June 1st.

Dewey Beach police say there has been a problem with violence in the area.

Council member David Moskowitz told the television station that he wants to expand the size of the police department.

He also wants to bring the pay for seasonal police up to that of life guards.

Dewey Beach police say they will continue with a greater presence on the weekends.
