Dewey Beach Set to Hire Police Consultant

Dewey Beach logo

The Dewey Beach is set to bring in a consultant to oversee the police department.

Yesterday the town commissioners voted to provide $25-thousand to allow the Town Manager to hire the consultant.

Commissioner David Moscowitz told WBOC that the consultant would be expected to provide  recommendations if the department has any issue and is not sure as to what it should do.

The move is has been in the making since 2017.

But at the time the resort did not have a Town Manager to move forward.

He will now review the plan and will be allowed to hire the consultant immediately.
