DOVER, Del. (AP) - House lawmakers have given final legislative approval to a bill creating a new transportation infrastructure fund for Delaware.

The legislation approved Tuesday on a unanimous vote calls for $10 million in initial financing for the Transportation Infrastructure Investment Fund.

The bill now goes to Gov. John Carney for his signature. Carney proposed the legislation earlier this year as a source of money that could be quickly tapped for economic development projects.

The fund would be used for renovation, construction and other road and transportation improvements with the goal of attracting new businesses or helping existing businesses expand.
