Blades Residents Sue Over Cancer-Linked Chemicals

creative commons

Five residents of the town of Blades are suing a former metal plating company after the water system and wells were found to contain cancer-linked chemicals PFOA and PFOS.

On the defendant’s list are 3M, Dupont and Chemours.

The plaintiffs say that high levels of toxins have been found in their blood.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that it is not clear how much money the plaintiffs are seeking.

The paper adds that the lawsuit is part of a national move against reports of water pollution by these chemcials.
