Body Found Outside Dover Bank

The body of a homeless man was found yesterday morning outside the WSFS Bank in Dover.

Dover police say it was discovered around 7:45 a.m. but said there is no indication of foul play.

WBOC reports that Wilbert Sommers himself homeless said that he knew the man and had come across his body.

He said he tried to shake the man awake but he was already dead.

Sommers told the television station that the man had had health problems along with alcoholism and had difficulty finding resources to help him with affordable housing.

He added that given the temperature drop that night into the 40’s he said it just emphasized the need for more housing options for the homeless.
