Meehan: OC to Move On After Dumser's Legal Defeat

official photo

Ocean City Mayor Rich Meehan says it is time for the resort to put the legal battle over Dumser’s Dairyland behind it.

The Maryland Court of Appeals turned down a petition by the Mayor and town council to hear the case over ownership of the property.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that in an email the Meehan said while still disagreeing with the court’s decision he along with the council felt they had an obligation to move on and represent the taxpayers’ interest.

And he said that he wished the heirs of Nathan Rapoport and the property’s tenant Dumser’s Dairyland well.
