OC Loses Fight Over Dumser's Dairyland

Dumser's Dairlyland website

The Ocean City Mayor and Town Council has lost their appeal in its fight with Nathans Associations  over who owns Dumser’s Dairlyand on the boardwalk.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the decision by the Maryland Court of Appeals ends the legal controversy.

The court found that the city had not proved that it actually owned the structure.

The building is the home of the iconic Dumser’s Dairyland which serves up frozen desserts.

The issue involved two 25-year contracts with the Rapoport family and their heirs from the resort to build the shop and an apartment on the land.
