Two Dead, Five Injured in Route 50 Three Car Accident

There was a multi-car crash on Route 50 in Salisbury last night around 9 p.m.  

It left two dead and five injured.

WBOC reports that Maryland State Police say the accident involved three vehicles on Route 50 near Marquis Avenue.

A 2002 Ford swerved into the eastbound lanes on Route 50 and struck a Toyota and Buick.

It is not known at this time why the Ford crossed the lanes.

The television station reports that police say two of the passengers in the Ford was killed. 

The driver of the Toyota as well as the driver and two passengers in the Buick were taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center.

WBOC reports police say that the driver of the Ford was sent to Baltimore Shock Trauma.
