Early Voting Measure Gets Delaware House Approval

DOVER, Del. (AP) - The state House has approved a bill establishing in-person early voting in Delaware, starting in January 2022.

The legislation was approved Tuesday on a 34-6 vote, will all dissenting votes cast by Republicans. It now goes to the Senate.

The proposal allows registered voters to cast ballots at least 10 days before an election at locations - at least one in each county and the city of Wilmington - to be determined by the state elections commissioner.

Thirty-eight other states already allow early voting.
