creative commons

Some Wicomico County Public Schools were ordered to “stay-in-place” yesterday after a shooting took place on Marshall Street in Salisbury.

The call came just after 12 noon when the Salisbury Police Department tweeted out that a male adult victim was being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect who was considered armed and dangerous was taken into custody by police.

The state-in-place order was lifted around 1:30 p.m.

The facilities effected ranged from Wicomico Middle and High Schools to East Salisbury Elementary and Choices Academy.

Also effected was 101 Long Avenue/Birth to Five.
