Salisbury is looking to expand its port along the Wicomico River beginning with a $37-thousand grant that will look at potential plans and costs.
WBOC reports that Bill Chambers with the Salisbury Maryland Chamber of Commerce said he believes such an expansion would bring boats, jobs and a lot on money.
Mayor Jake Day noted that a multi-user terminal could bring new companies to the city.
Chambers adds he envisions the expansion would inject tens of millions of dollars into the local economy.
