Dagsboro Hikes Water Usage Rate to Close Deficit

Don Rush

The Dagsboro town council has voted to increase the usage rate for water from $4 to $4.15 for every additional 1-thousand gallons residents use.

In addition, the town decided to reduce the monthly fixed rate to $35.

WBOC reports that the Delaware town is hoping to raise enough money to close the city’s deficit of $17-thousand.

The town hopes the increase will give the city a $34-hundred surplus each year as it moves forward.
