Judge Hears Delaware Pharma Suit

creative commons

A lawsuit has been brought against Big Pharma brought by around 30 Attorneys General.

In the First State a suit brought by state Attorney General Matt Denn will be decided by a Delaware Judge.

Many packed themselves into a Wilmington Courtroom yesterday for the oral arguments against the drug makers.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that the attorneys general assert the drug companies misled doctors and patients into believing that the medications were not addictive.

Among the factors the judge will consider what each defendant did to cause the opioid epidemic in the First State and whether the manufacturer is liable for the use of its product.

The judge in the Delaware case will also have to decide if his court has jurisdiction in the case.
