official photos

Senator Tom Carper and Republican challenger Rob Arlett sparred over immigration during debate last night in Dover.

Arlett took a hard stance charging that immigrants were taking jobs away from American workers.

Carper countered that deporting immigrants like the young people who were brought here at an early age is “crazy”.

WBOC reports on the issue of the nation’s veterans Carper raised the expansion of services in Delaware but said the nation could do more.

Arlett said he believed that there needed to be better transition programs for military personnel when they are away from active duty.

Last night’s forum featured 11 candidates running for statewide office.

It was held at Delaware State University and hosted by the League of Women Voters of Delaware.
