Delaware Dems Charge Campaign Violations by Two GOP Candidates

official photos

Delaware Democrats are charging two Republican candidates of illegally coordinating with Political Action Committees.

The Wilmington Journal reports the complaint was filed with the state election officials against state Treasurer Ken Simpler and Senate Minority Whip Greg Lavelle.

In the case of Simpler that Democrats pointed to the Foundation for Delaware’s Future and for Lavelle they took aim at First State First.

But the Delaware Republican Party strongly denied that charge.

It said that the Democrats are simply complaining about “issue ads” adding that these have already been ruled constitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court.
