The head basketball coach at Salisbury University Andy Sachs is now on leave.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that so far it is not clear why.
The paper also reports that Sachs was unavailable for comment as of Tuesday afternoon.
For the moment Brian McDermott will be the interim coach…according to a press release by the university’s Director of Athletics Gerry DiBartolo.
McDermott is a former local basketball coach at Mardela High School, Stephen Decatur and Sussex Tech.
He is also an alumni of Salisbury University.
