Prince Anne Town Commissioner Arrested for Assault

facebook page

Princess Anne town commissioner Lionel Frederick has been charged with second degree assault, reckless endangerment and false imprisonment.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports court documents indicate the incident involved a woman who was holding her one year-old son.

In a statement she says that he blocked the doorway when she tried to leave, pulled her hair and held her down telling her she was not going to leave until he got his phone.

The paper reports that the woman says he began punching her as she tried to fight him off.

She finally told him that she would file a complaint to which, she says, he replied that he would beat her in court.

Finally, she wrote that last week he had beat her up dragging her and her son out of a truck.

In that instance she said she called 911.

Frederick recently won a second term on the town commission and is running for clerk of the Circuit Court in Somerset County.
