The Delmar High School Football team celebrated their champion Saturday night win over Milford with a score of 14-7.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports horns and cheers could be heard this weekend as buses and fire engines filled the Food Lion Parking lot.
It is was the first time the Wildcats won a championship in the DIAA Division II since 2009.
The paper also reports that it is the second victory this month for the high school with its field hockey team taking the same honor last month.
