Dover Rally to Protest End of DACA

As the decision by the Trump administration to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals or DACA rallies are planned at the offices of Delaware Governor John Carney and the state’s Democratic senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons.

Organizers notes that both senators have expressed strong support for the program that allows undocumented immigrants brought to this country by their parents as children to stay in the U.S.

It’s is an executive order that was issued by then President Obama as congress failed to provide comprehension immigration reform.

The protest this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. will take place in Dover at the senator’s office at 500 Loockerman Street with statements from both Democrats.

The Governor plans to address the rally when they arrive at his office.

Then there will be march to Legislative Avenue to Governor Carney’s offices at the Tatnall Building on Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard.
