Man Medevaced From Cruise Ship After Reported Heart Attack

A man was medevaced from the Carnival Pride cruise ship near Virginia Beach.

Saturday evening the Coast Guard got a report that a 58-year old passenger had suffered a heart attack.

WBOC reports that a Jayhawk helicopter was dispatched from Air Station Elizabeth City in North Carolina and picked up the passenger near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.

He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

The television station reports that the passenger is recovering.
