Her name is Sarah’s Sweet Tea.
She’s the first foal to be born on Assateague Island National Seashore this year.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that Leigh Shuck of Delaware put in the highest bid in fundraising on eBay for the Name That Foal Auction.
There were four foals in all with one left to be sold on December 8th.
So far over $51-hundred has been raised.
The Daily Times reports that Shuck named the colt in honor of her late daughter who died of cancer seven years ago.
The results of the second and third auctions will be announced in January.
