NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Crews worked to remove a truck carrying cattle after it overturned on a roadway near New Castle.
The Wilmington News Journal that the truck crashed around 10 p.m. Monday on a ramp to Interstate 295, closing that section of the road during the night.
The animals' conditions weren't immediately available.
Officials at the scene said they had expected the truck to be removed before morning rush hour, but the cows first had to be unloaded. Less than an hour later, a large crane truck arrived to right the overturned truck.
The driver of the truck declined to comment on the cause of the crash to the newspaper.
