With the recent reports of assaults Salisbury University is considering implementing a loitering measure near the campus.
WBOC reports that a number of students it interviewed yesterday told the television station that they did not feel safe when left campus.
University President Janet Dudley-Eshbach has said that the city and the school would consider a measure against loitering.
But University officials told the television station yesterday that it was still too early to provide details about how the ordinance would be enforced.
The university also said it would consider beefing up the campus police along with more security cameras and blue light emergency phones around campus.
