Sink Hole Closes Route 90

public domain

A sinkhole on Route 90 closed the highway into Ocean City on Sunday afternoon causing traffic delays and rerouting.

The sinkhole showed up on the pavement in the eastbound lane of the Assawoman Bay Bridge.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that a tweet from the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Department issued a warning about the traffic delays around 2 p.m.
Authorities used a temporary patch of steel plates and asphalt to repair the road.
