NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - New Castle County Police say a University of Delaware student was fatally shot in his car while he was on his way to work.

The department said in a news release that early Saturday, 19-year-old Malcolm Evans was driving to work when a single gunshot was fired into his car.

Police say the car crashed on Country Path Drive. Evans was taken to a hospital, where officers say he died Sunday afternoon.
