The Maryland State Education Association is protest the rally for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump at Stephen Decatur High School Tonight.
Association president Betty Weller issued a statement saying, “Donald Trump and his divisive fear-mongering have no place in the halls of Maryland’s public schools.”
Meanwhile, the group Progressive Maryland also denounced his appearance and has put up an online petition.
Reportedly it has received more than 500 signatures.
The school system has said it is not associated with Trump or his event and that the campaign was paying a fee of almost $5-thousand for use of the facilities.
