300 Dogs Getting Help After Being Seized from Wicomico Home

Humane Society of the United States

There are some 300 dogs that are being taken care of at shelters around Wicomico County after they were seized from a local home.

Sheriff’s deputies and animal control conducted a 14 hour check at a kennel earlier this month.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that State’s Attorney Matthew Maciarello said this was like large child abuse case.

It is not clear if any of the dogs will have to be put down.

Currently, they are being evaluated and eventually many will be put out for adoption.

As word spread officials said donations from the public have been coming to help with the animals.
