WASHINGTON (AP) - Sen. Ben Cardin and Rep. John Delaney are scheduled to discuss clean energy goals.

The Maryland Democrats will be meeting with reporters on Thursday to talk about the benefits of the country getting half of its energy from clean and non-carbon sources by 2030.

This week, lawmakers in Congress will introduce resolutions affirming the goal.

It is supported by 25 senators and 70 members of the House.
