Larry Ennis Found Guilty in Murder of Teenager

Salisbury Police Department

Larry Ennis has been found guilty of murder for the shooting death of 17-year old Rakim Russell at an America’s Best Inn in Salisbury.

The jury found him guilty on all 14 counts including first degree murder for the August killing.

Jarrett Stokes and Ky’Shir Connally were also charged with the murder.

The driver of the car testified this week that Stokes fired four shots from the car into the crowd.

He said he thought they were initially looking for a fist fight with someone.

WBOC reports that the driver pled guilty to conspiracy to commit first-degree murder among other charges in exchange for testimony against Ennis, Connally and Stokes.

The driver is facing 15 years in prison.
