23 year-old Matthew Holbrook is facing second-degree murder, manslaughter and child abuse among other charges for the death of his baby daughter Na’Kiah eight months ago.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that he told police that was crying while he was playing video games just before Thanksgiving last year.
According to charging documents the paper reports that the Crisfield father picked her up and struck her in the head with a video controller.
Then, on December 2nd – the day Na’Kiah died – she was crying and throwing up when Holbrook struck her with a water bottle several times according to the charging documents.
The paper reports she was just five weeks old.
