WYE MILLS, Md. (AP) - Police say a pregnant woman was behind the wheel of a car that hit a tractor-trailer on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The woman, her unborn child and four other people – all from Accomack County -- were killed in the crash.

State police said Sunday that 30-year-old Zarissa Ayres was driving the car when it hit the tractor-trailer early Saturday morning on Route 50 in Wye Mills.

Ayres, her sister, her niece and nephew and her sister's boyfriend were on their way from their homes in Virginia to Baltimore. All five were killed. The truck driver was treated at a hospital and released.

No one has been charged in the crash. Police say investigators expect to speak to the truck driver this week. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police.
