Larry Hogan: No Comment on NRA Endorsement

campaign website

BETHESDA, Md. (AP) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has made his second trip to Maryland to support Republican Larry Hogan's bid for governor.

Christie and Hogan greeted residents in Bethesda at the Original Pancake House in Bethesda on Tuesday.

Hogan sidestepped questions about being endorsed by the National Rifle Association on Monday. Hogan says he's focused on having a vote of confidence from Christie, the chairman of the Republican Governors Association.

Hogan's opponent, Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, has criticized Hogan for his stance on gun-control issues in television ads.

Christie says if he had Brown's record of tax increases and a badly flawed rollout of the state's health exchange, he also would try to distract voters from those issues.

Christie attended a fundraiser in Potomac, Maryland, Tuesday morning.
