The Wicomico County Board of Education is asking for public input after accepting a report in July from a task force on long range planning for the next 50 years.
The report says that the school system should take a comprehensive and integrated approach to improving its facilities.
The recommendations range from replacing some school buildings and changing some grade configurations to relocating some programs to serve the students more effectively.
WBOC reports that the overall strategy is to reduce the number of school buildings cutting maintenance and costs.
