Two women have been killed and several others were injured when a tour bus carrying dozens of people overturned in the Delaware community of Bear.

Officials said the accident occurred at around 4:20 p.m. Sunday afternoon and did not involve any other vehicle.

A total of 49 people were taken to the hospital.

Delaware State Police Sgt. Paul Shavack said 3 to 5 people were in critical condition.

Photographs taken at the scene show the bus lying on the driver’s side on a grassy shoulder of the roadway.

At least two people had neck-braces.

Authorities have no information yet on why the bus crashed.
