Some 60 officers from the Delaware State Police saw over 25-hundred vehicles pass through its three check points over the weekend.

There were three people arrested for driving while impaired and another on a separate warrant.

WBOC reports that nine were also arrested on drug related charges while 18 others were detained pending investigation.

The check points were located at sites that have seen a frequent number of traffic accidents and DUI arrests.

The check points were part of the Safe Family Holiday DUI enforcement campaign.
