suseagulls.com

This winter Salisbury University will be breaking ground for a $19 million upgrade to the Sea Gull Stadium.

It will include 48-hundred seats and year-round locker room facilities for the school’s football, field hockey and men’s and women’s la cross programs.

There hasn’t been an upgrade since 2007 when artificial grass and lights were put in.

Funds will be raised from institutional sources for the project and there will be no state taxpayer dollars involved.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the aim of the renovation is to raise the status of the facility to reflect the stature of the athletic programs that play at Sea Gull Stadium become a recruiting attraction for the University.
