Ex-Colburn Aide Leaves State Payroll Just Days After Divorce Announcement

Cassia Martens, the woman whom state Senator Richard Colburn is accused of having an affair with, left state employment three days after the Salisbury Daily Times reported allegations of made by Colburn’s wife.

Delegate Kathy Vitale, (R-Anne Arundel) told the paper that Martens has not worked as a legislative aide since January 6th.

The Daily Times reported on the divorce filing on January 3rd.

The paper reports that Alma Colburn charged that her husband had an affair with Martens his 26 year old former aide.

She and her husband settled their divorce earlier this month.
