msa.maryland.gov

The Alma Colburn, the estranged wife of state Senator Richard Colburn, may have been urged to consider a run against her husband in November’s election.

The Salisbury Daily Times report that court documents it has obtain show there was a discussion during their divorce proceedings about a telephone poll that asked potential voters what they thought of the newspaper coverage of their divorce proceedings.

The transcript of a hearing in the case, the Daily Times reports, shows the approval by the judge to seal the records of the divorce proceedings through March 1st because there was a potential that Alma Colburn would run for her husband’s seat.

Alma Colburn’s attorney responded saying that Alma had no intention of running for office.
