The Arthur W. Perdue Stadium could get a $5.7 million upgrade complete with a wraparound outfield deck, a new video board, additional reserved seating and even a statue of Perdue himself.
At least, that’s the recommendation by a new report from the Maryland Stadium Authority.
The Authority says that the improvements would bring in up to $1.4 million in direct spending a year and would create 20-to-30 new jobs outside the stadium gates.
In addition, it says the enhancements would increase attendance by 10-to-15 percent.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the new study does not indicate who will pay for the improvements nor how long it would take for completion.
