The Maryland Healthcare Connection is hitting the streets to answer questions and help people enroll for insurance under the Affordable Care Act.
Yesterday, the bus tour was in Federalsburg where it signed up seven people using one of the state’s Maryland health Connection website.
Tameka Lee, who helps people sign up, told WBOC that when they started at noon there was already a line waiting for her before she could even get out of her car.
Amanda Nelson, who is the lead navigator for the program on the Mid-Shore, told the station that successful online registration is a sign that the Maryland website is improving.
The bus tour will be at the Walmart in Cambridge today and in Salisbury at the north Walmart tomorrow.
On Friday, the bus will go down to the Somerset County Courthouse in Princess Anne.
