Food Bank of Delaware Kicks Off Thanksgiving Food Drive

It’s that time of the year when the Food Bank of Delaware begins its annual Thanksgiving food drive.

Its goal is 27-hundred Thanksgiving meal boxes for needy families.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that deadline is November 15th.

Items that The Food Bank is looking range from frozen turkeys and macaroni and cheese to cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes.

There are two sites where food can be dropped off between 8:30 am and 4 pm weekdays.

The site near Newark is located at 14 Garfield Way in Delaware Industrial Park off Delaware route 72 .

The other location is in Milford at 14 Mattlind Way.
