NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - Norfolk police have identified a body found near a fishing pier as that of a missing crabber.
Police spokesman Chris Amos tells media outlets that 35-year-old Derrick Deshawn Ward of Norfolk was reported missing after he went crabbing Friday night and didn't return home.
A passer-by discovered the body on Sunday evening near the Ocean View Fishing Pier.
The body was sent to the medical examiner officer's to determine the cause of death.
