LAUREL, Md. (AP) - Maryland officials are looking for volunteers to help remove invasive weeds at a recreation area along the Patuxent River.

The cleanup is taking place Saturday at the Supplee Recreation Area in Laurel.

Officials with the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission say volunteers will help remove invasive weeds that are covering up natural habitat needed by wildlife. Officials will provide gloves and tools.

Anyone looking to volunteer can call the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission at 301-206-8233.
