EMS Service: Now Same Bill for West Ocean City

all-free-download.com

If you need an ambulance in West Ocean City now you will be billed exactly the same as if you were a resident of Ocean City.

Last year you would have been charged twice as much as people in Ocean City and waited an average of more than two minutes longer for the EMS crew to arrive.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports since West Ocean City does not have an EMS crew they accounted for 17 percent of the Ocean City 911 calls.

Under the new fee structure that goes into effect July 1 residents in both towns will now be bill $425 per call.

Previously, Ocean City residents were charged $415 while those in West Ocean City were billed $650.

The Ocean City Town Council recently approved the change by a unanimous vote.
