Kermit Gosnell, who was convicted last month on three counts of first-degree murder among other charges involving violations of Pennsylvania’s abortion laws, also performed abortions at a clinic in Wilmington.
The Wilmington News Journal reports that investigators and court documents say that Gosnell used the same type of risky, labor inducing approach to abortions at the Atlantic Clinic that sometimes resulted in children being delivered alive by abortion patients.
But the paper reports that Delaware investigators say they did not have witnesses who could testify that they saw Gosnell actually severe the spinal cords of any of the babies who showed apparent signs of life after they were delivered at the clinic.
Gosnell was only an employee at the Atlantic Women’s Medical Service clinic owned by Panzy Myrie, where he worked at least one day a week for a number of years.
The clinics have since been closed and included locations in Wilmington and Dover.
Gosnell owned the Women’s Medical Society Clinic in Philadelphia that led to his convictions.
