Delaware Abortion Doctor Speaks Out

Dr. Timothy Liveright says he is being made a “scapegoat” for the problems at Planned Parenthood’s Wilmington Clinic that performs abortions.

While praising Planned Parenthood nationwide as a noble organization he told the Wilmington News Journal that the Delaware agency has been plagued with management, staffing and operational problems.

During his second stint at the clinic, Liveright said, that the agency was beset by “a rather tumultuous administrative set of headaches.”

He told the newspaper that there have been several medical directors adding that once he served in the post temporarily until someone was finally hired for the position.

He claimed that one director was on the road doing work for Planned Parenthood more than she was at the clinic.

As for his own record Liveright said he only made one medical mistake but added that the woman’s injury was not serious.

On April 14th the Division of Public Health cited the clinic with 14 violations with inspectors saying they found unsafe and unsanitary conditions such as lax sterilization practices and sloppy maintenance records.

For a while no abortions were suspend, triggered by abortions including one performed by Liveright that involved bleeding and other complications.

The interview with the Wilmington News Journal was done just hours before state prosecutors filed a civil complaint with Delaware’s medical disciplinary board…that portrayed his work as shoddy and dangerous as well as some unspecified sexual misconduct as Planned Parenthood.
