A new Regional Technology Park is coming to Dorchester County.
It’s to be located on a 113-acre farm just off of Bucktown Road.
The new tech park is expected to create more than 100 jobs with the potential to triple that number in the years to come.
John Mason with the Dorchester County Economic Development Office told WBOC that the county would like to see businesses locate at the incubator for 18 months.
Eventually he said that they should expand enough to become self-sustaining and move on to a new location.
With the approval of $1.2 million for project by the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development county officials are looking at a groundbreaking by next year.
