200 to 300 family members and students gathered last night for a 1-and half hour candle light vigil in the parking of the apartment complex where a University of Delaware student was shot and killed Monday night outside his off-campus apartment.
20 year-old Peter DeSabatino was enrolled in the University’s Associate in Arts program in Wilmington.
The media was excluded from the gathering.
But afterward Thomas DeSabatino and his daughter Natalie told the Wilmington News Journalthat the size of crowd reflected how much “Pete” touched other people’s lives.
New Castle County police said yesterday that they are searching for two men.
Witnesses say they were last seen wearing hooded sweat shirts one grey and one black.
There were few other details released by the authorities but police say they do not believe that DeSabatino was targeted at random.
