DEWEY BEACH, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have identified a suspect investigators are searching for in connection with the murder of a woman found in a Dewey Beach motel room.
Police announced Tuesday they have obtained arrest warrants for 26-year-old Pawan Kumar of Wilmington. Police say he is a suspect in the murder investigation. Police have also released surveillance photos of the suspect.
Police say a young woman was found dead in a ground-floor room at the Atlantic Oceanside Motel on Coastal Highway. A cleaning lady found the body Monday morning.
Dewey Beach police called in the Delaware State Police to investigate.
Dewey Beach is a popular summertime destination between Rehoboth Beach and Bethany Beach along Delaware's Atlantic shore.
