Ocean City Finished Boardwalk Work in Time for Susan G. Komen Race

Work crews should be wrapping up the first phase of the reconstruction of the Ocean City Boardwalk today for this weekend’s Susan G. Komen race.

Ocean City Engineer Terry McGean told the Salisbury Daily Times that it should be substantially finished between the Inlet and Somerset Street and between 15th and 27th streets.

This is around two weeks ahead of schedule.  McGean said he had figured it would not be done before the end of the month.

The rest of the Boardwalk reconstruction is expected to begin in October after the summer season.
